Darion Howlett has been sentenced to a total of 10 years for first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary.
While A.P. was sleeping in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood, Darion Howlett entered her home through a window on the first floor. Howlett went upstairs and A.P. woke up. While standing in her bedroom doorway, Howlett said that this was a robbery and that she should get up or he would shoot her. Howlett ordered A.P. downstairs and, as he was holding what appeared to be a hammer, went through a closet taking several items including a digital camera, cell phone, and U.S. currency.
On Nov. 12, 2013, Howlett pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary.
Today, St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Mark H. Neill sentenced Howlett to 10 years on each count to be run concurrently.
Congratulations ACA Capizzi and team!
