On November 30, 2014, Z.B., his fiance, and two other individuals were approaching their car when they heard a group including the Defendant, T.K., and two other individuals yelling. As Mr. B. drove away, T.K. jumped on the back of his car and began hitting it.  Unsure of what was happening, Mr. B. stopped the car and got out.  At that point he was approached by the Defendant, T.K., and two other men. The Defendant taunted Mr. B. and challenged him to a fight. All four men began assaulting Mr. B. and at least one of them struck Mr. B. with a hammer.  During the assault, Mr. B. fell to the ground, and the Defendant and the other three continued to beat him.  Mr. B. was later pronounced dead.  An autopsy revealed that he had sustained multiple injuries consistent with blunt force trauma to the head.  The autopsy also revealed multiple injuries, including bruises and lacerations on his head and upper body.
