First Alert 4– A man has pleaded guilty in the fatal shooting of a Washington University graduate student.

Amarnath Ghosh was shot and killed just after 7 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2024, near the intersection of Delmar Boulevard and Clarendon Avenue.



Glen Bailey was later charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Bailey was also sentenced to 63 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to felony gun and drug charges. That sentence will run concurrently with the 15-year sentence.
