January 17, 2025

Several news outlets in St. Louis, Missouri reported that three dogs attacked a 62-year-old Deaf woman, Gladys Anthony, and mauled her to death. The dogs escaped from their owners’ home. This happened Wednesday night.

News reports explained that Gladys had arrived home from work as a janitor at a school and let her family’s dogs out in the backyard. The three loose dogs came under Gladys’ backyard fence and attacked her dogs and then attacked Gladys.

Gladys’ brother, John Jenkins, said the dogs were pit bulls and were vicious.
