February 6, 2025

ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) -- The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office refused charges against a 54-year-old man related to a dog attacking a woman on January 16.

Gladys Anthony, 62, and her husband were mauled by three dogs in their backyard in the Walnut Park West neighborhood. Anthony died from her injuries.

The dogs escaped from a home up the street through a hole in the owner’s fence, according to SLMPD. Detectives arrested a man Wednesday and presented charges to prosecutors. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office declined to charge the man.
