Fox 2 News – A man was convicted Wednesday in connection with a fatal April 2025 shooting in north St. Louis.



According to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, Curtis Sills, 45, was found guilty of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of 41-year-old Shaun Mooring.

The shooting occurred on April 21, 2025, near the 3400 block of N. Market St. Investigators said officer found Mooring dead in the street after he had been shot.

According to investigators, officials used footage from the Real-Time Crime Center to track a brown Honda Accord used in the shooting and identify Sills. Investigators also said footage showed Sills placing a gun under the hood of the vehicle and Mooring’s orange wallet near the vehicle.
