Fox 2 News – A St. Louis jury found a man guilty Tuesday of trying to break into a woman's home in the city's North Hampton neighborhood earlier this year.

According to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, officers responded on Jan. 5 after getting a report of someone trying to enter a home in the 5000 block of Lindenwood Avenue. That's when 60-year-old Kenneth Howard broke a window screen, opened the window, and reached his hand inside while a woman was alone in the house.

Before opening the window, prosecutors said Howard paced on the front porch, knocked over a flowerpot, and tried the front door handle. The woman left the home because she feared for her safety.
