Fox 2 News – A St. Louis man who was on parole for murder has been sentenced in connection with a home burglary in south St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, 60-year-old Kenneth Howard was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was found guilty by a jury of first-degree burglary and second-degree property damage.

The incident occurred Jan. 5 in the 5000 block of Lindenwood Avenue after police were notified of a person attempting to enter a home.

According to police, a woman told officers she saw Howard pacing on her front porch, knock over a flower pot and try the front door handle. The woman also saw Howard break a window screen, open the window and reach his hand inside.
