KSDK – A St. Louis man was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of a local emcee and musician.

Terron Young, 34, was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without parole plus 15 years for the shooting death of Anthony Jefferson on Feb. 2 2024.

According to prosecutors, Jefferson was hosting an event at a venue on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive the night of the shooting. Prosecutors said he had just walked out of the venue and started a Facebook livestream when he was shot and killed.



A police investigation found that the shooting was a "planned ambush," according to the probable cause statement. Police said Young and Jefferson were in a feud, and Young planned the "sniper-style" killing and drove the gunman to a spot from where the fatal shots were fired.
