First Alert 4 – A man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 15 years after a jury found him guilty of murder earlier this year.

In January, a St. Louis jury found 34-year-old Terron Young guilty of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.

The jury found Young guilty of the February 2024 killing of St. Louis emcee Anthony Jefferson, also known as Ant Gee.

Prosecutors say the investigation into Jefferson’s death uncovered that his shooting was a planned ambush. On the night of his death, Jefferson was hosting an event at a venue in the 4700 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Prosecutors say Jefferson was streaming live on Facebook outside of the venue when a gunman shot him from a sniper’s nest across the street.
