October 28, 2026

ST. LOUIS, MO  (October 28, 2026) — Quintavis Hart, 29, was sentenced to 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for second-degree murder in connection with a 2021 Christmas Eve shooting in St. Louis.

On December 24, 2021, Hart and an accomplice shot and killed 45-year-old Paul Julion, who was homeless, in the 5000 block of Wells Avenue in the City's Academy neighborhood. Hart and his accomplice had traveled from Arkansas to St. Louis and were allegedly fleeing a robbery and murder in St. Louis County when they killed Paul Julion. Investigators tracked a phone stolen during the St. Louis County robbery to the scene of Paul Julion's murder. Cartridge casings recovered from both crime scenes also shared matching headstamp markings.

“This sentence holds the defendant accountable for taking a life and ensures he will be off the streets of St. Louis for many years,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “Keeping violent offenders off our streets is essential to protecting our community and achieving a higher level of public safety.”

Violent Crime Unit Deputy Supervisor Grant Simon prosecuted the case.

The defendant's case number is 2622-CR03535. Hart also faces pending charges in St. Louis County.
