Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore Highlights Progress Achieved During the Past Year
June 4, 2026

ST. LOUIS, MO  (June 4, 2026) — Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore marked his administration’s third year in office Thursday by highlighting the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office's efforts to strengthen prosecutions, improve efficiency, expand community partnerships, and increase transparency.

In the last year, the office has invested in recruiting and training prosecutors, launched community engagement initiatives, strengthened diversion and intervention programs, and improved access to information through the launch of the new CAO Performance Data Dashboard.

Recent initiatives include the Citizens Academy, a six-week program designed to help residents better understand the criminal justice system and the role of prosecutors. Since its launch, 39 residents have graduated from the program. The office also launched the Circuit Attorney's Neighborhood Collaboration (CNC) program, which connects Assistant Circuit Attorneys directly with neighborhood associations throughout the city. In addition, the office continues to operate the TAP IN Center, which has served more than 1,000 individuals by helping resolve warrants and connect participants with community resources.

The office has also continued to focus on its core mission of pursuing a higher level of public safety. During the last year, the CAO issued charges in more than 3,500 felony cases and reached charging decisions within 24 hours in more than 90 percent of warrant applications presented to the office.

"We have worked to build a stronger office, strengthen our partnerships, and create systems that better serve the people of St. Louis," said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. "While we have made meaningful progress, our work continues. We remain committed to supporting victims, holding offenders accountable, and pursuing justice in a way that improves public safety throughout our entire community."
