Family Alleges Cover-up After Police Bodycam Video Shows Teen Shot While Running Away
April 13, 2020

ST. LOUIS — Newly released body camera footage is raising disturbing questions about the police shooting of 17-year-old Emeshyon Wilkins.

"Video shows there was no weapon. The young man, the 17-year-old, was not turning around, was not aiming a gun," said Albert Watkins, the family's attorney.

Wilkins' family sued the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, alleging a multi-year cover-up and a blatant violation of police protocol.
