Circuit Attorney’s Office Launches Neighborhood Collaboration Initiative
March 9, 2026

ST. LOUIS, MO  (March 9, 2026) — The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office (CAO) has launched the Circuit Attorney’s Neighborhood Collaboration (CNC), a new initiative that brings prosecutors directly into neighborhoods across the city to strengthen neighborhood partnerships, support victims, and improve public safety.

The CNC program assigns Assistant Circuit Attorneys (ACAs) to neighborhood associations to serve as consistent points of contact. These attorneys work alongside residents to address public safety concerns, assist victims and witnesses, and provide transparency into the prosecution of cases that arise in their neighborhoods. The initiative reflects the office’s commitment to building trust in the community.

The CNC partnership was launched with the Dutchtown/Mount Pleasant neighborhoods. In the near future, we will launch CNC partnerships with the Academy Sherman Park, the Shaw Neighborhood Ownership Model, and the Ellendale neighborhood associations. We are excited about the expansion of this program and our increased engagement in neighborhoods.

“Public safety is strongest when prosecutors and residents work side by side,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “The Neighborhood Collaboration initiative reflects our belief that public safety grows through relationships, transparency, and shared responsibility. Assigning dedicated Assistant Circuit Attorneys to neighborhoods creates direct lines of communication, strengthens support for victims and witnesses, and empowers residents to take an active role in creating safer communities. When we listen to, engage with, and respond to residents, we build not only stronger cases, but stronger neighborhoods.”

Neighborhood associations interested in participating in CNC may contact Leann J. Mosby, Director of Community Engagement, here.
