Downtown Business Burglar Sentenced to 15 Years
July 29, 2024

ST. LOUIS, MO (July 29, 2024) — Eric Pritchett, 34, was given a 15-year prison sentence for stealing and a concurrent 10-year sentence for two counts of second-degree burglary for a series of business break-ins in Downtown St. Louis in 2022.

Pritchett broke into three businesses between January 3 and March 12, 2022. He stole $550 in cash and two radios worth $600 from a business in the 400 block of North 15th Street; 30 laptop computers worth a total of $73,000 from a business in the 100 block of North Broadway, and file cabinets, a dishwasher and other items from a business in the 500 block of North 13th Street.

Because he is a prior and persistent offender, Pritchett was given the maximum sentences for the crimes. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Circuit Attorney William Green.

“Successfully prosecuting criminals who victimize upstanding businesses is essential to preserving the economic health of our city,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore.
