Srikant Chigurupati

1976 – 2025

The Circuit Attorney’s Office would like to honor the memory of our dear colleague and friend, Srikant Chigurupati, an Assistant Circuit Attorney with the office since 2021 who passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2025.

A graduate of Washington University School of Law, Srikant served as a Public Defender in Missouri for many years, first in Hannibal and then in St. Louis where he was part of the trial office, the appellate office and the capital defense division.

He continued his dedication to the pursuit of justice when he joined the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office in June of 2021. Srikant served the CAO by representing the State of Missouri in a variety of criminal cases, including numerous homicide matters.

Srikant was also an avid St. Louis sports fan and made some of the tastiest jambalaya this side of New Orleans. But Srikant’s true love was for his family, his parents, brother, and especially his niece and nephew who he treated as his own.

Srikant was a respected and beloved member of our team and will be missed.
