Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Knife-Wielding Robberies
December 4, 2025

ST. LOUIS, MO  (December 04, 2025) — Jahlil Cherron Finne, 23, received a 15-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.

Finne committed two knife-point robberies at the same phone store in the 4500 block of South Kingshighway in February and March. On February 27, 2024, he entered the store around 9:00 p.m., confronted a 25-year-old female employee, displayed a knife, demanded money, and fled with cash and several phones. Surveillance video recorded the robbery and captured audio of his threats and the employee’s screams.

On March 15, 2024, while officers were still investigating the earlier incident, Finne returned to the same store. He again carried a knife, approached a 23-year-old male employee, and robbed the business of cash and ten phones. Surveillance video recorded the second robbery. Officers tracked one of the stolen phones to Finne’s residence later that day. After obtaining a search warrant, they recovered nine of the stolen phones, clothing matching the robber’s attire, and other corroborating evidence before arresting Finne.

“The employees in these robberies were young, alone, and confronted by a man wielding a knife. No one should face that kind of fear at work. This sentence brings accountability and protects others from becoming the defendant’s next victims,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore.

Assistant Circuit Attorney Grant Simon prosecuted the case.

The defendant’s case number is 2422-CR02324-01.
