Man Sentenced to 22 Years in Fatal Ambush Shooting in Baden Neighborhood
September 4, 2025

ST. LOUIS, MO  (September 4, 2025) — Anton Greene, 22, pled guilty Thursday to second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and first-degree assault for his role in a 2022 ambush shooting in the Baden neighborhood. Greene was sentenced to 22 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

On August 3, 2022, Greene, co-defendant Taheim Davis, and another co-defendant ambushed a vehicle on Halls Ferry Road, firing multiple shots into the car. Twenty-five-year-old Tijean Bow was hit in the head and died from his wounds. A 30-year-old passenger was struck in the back and survived, while the third occupant was unharmed. Investigators identified the suspects after reviewing surveillance footage that captured the attack.

Davis, 26, pled guilty on August 25, 2025, to the same charges and received a 23-year sentence.

“Successful prosecutions like this one strengthen community safety by holding offenders responsible,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “They also send a clear message that those who choose gun violence will face serious consequences.”

Special Assistant Circuit Attorney Gordon Ankney and Assistant Circuit Attorney Andrew Costello prosecuted the case.

The case number is 2222-CR01163-01.
