St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office Announces Appointment of Jeremy S. Crowley as Chief Trial Attorney
February 2, 2026

ST. LOUIS, MO  (February 2, 2026) — Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore names Jeremy S. Crowley as Chief Trial Attorney and adds him as a member of the Executive Committee.

Crowley joined the office in March 2019 and most recently served as Unit Supervisor of the Special Victims Unit. He brings nearly 20 years of legal experience, including more than 10 years as a state prosecutor, to his new role. During his tenure with the Circuit Attorney’s Office, Crowley has tried numerous jury trials in the 22nd Judicial Circuit and has trained and mentored a number of first-chair felony prosecutors.

“Jeremy has distinguished himself as an exceptional leader and trial attorney throughout his time in this office,” said Gabe Gore, St. Louis Circuit Attorney. “His judgment, professionalism, and courtroom skill have earned my respect and confidence, as well as the respect and confidence of his colleagues and the bench. I have no doubt that he will excel in this vital role.”

Crowley replaces Marvin O. Teer, Jr., who served the office with distinction and was a key contributor to the efforts to rebuild the Circuit Attorney’s Office following Mr. Gore’s appointment. Mr. Teer left the Circuit Attorney’s Office to continue his public service in the role of Director of the St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention. The office appreciates Teer’s service and leadership during the rebuilding process.

“It has been a privilege to serve alongside the dedicated attorneys and staff here. This office is filled with talented and committed prosecutors,” said Jeremy Crowley. “I am honored to step into this new role and focus on supporting attorney development and strengthening our trial work—efforts that are critical to ensuring the safety of our community.”

Crowley earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2007. He began his prosecutorial career with the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he handled cases ranging from traffic offenses to first-degree assaults and helped develop the county’s first Mental Health/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Court.
