Tony Brown Found Guilty of Sodomy, Child Molestation
December 8, 2023

ST. LOUIS, MO (December 8, 2023) — A jury on Thursday found Tony Brown, 67, guilty of first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree child molestation for molesting three young girls at a daycare where he worked in 2019 and 2020.

Brown, of the 3100 block of Ohio Avenue, had been charged June 26, 2020, with molesting two girls at the House of Montessori Education at 7814 South Broadway. He was charged Feb.26, 2021, with molesting a third girl a few months before the other two; the third girl recognized him from news reports and told her mother that he had touched her inappropriately. The daycare center is no longer in business.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Circuit Attorney Adrine Krikorian and Domestic Violence/Special Victim Unit Team Leader Assistant Circuit Attorney Jeremy Crowley.

The jury sentenced Brown to 12 years in prison on the sodomy charge, and five years’ imprisonment on each of the two molestation charges. On January 23, 2024, Judge Katherine Fowler will determine whether the sentences run consecutively or concurrently.

“Children who are the victims of molestation may carry emotional damage with them all their lives,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “I am grateful for the diligence of our team in working with these young victims and their families to bring this man to justice.”
