Violent and Persistent Offender Sentenced to 15 Years for Dutchtown Armed Robbery
April 8, 2025

ST. LOUIS, MO (April 8, 2025) — Lance Campbell, 20, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery and armed criminal action for his role in an armed robbery at a bar located in the 3700 block of Delor Street in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis.

On August 26, 2023, Campbell, along with several accomplices, held Alvin Douglas, 22, at gunpoint, stealing his wallet, phone, and other personal belongings. Through surveillance footage, GPS tracking, and financial transaction data, Campbell was identified as the primary suspect.

Campbell has a history of prior convictions, including second-degree assault of a special victim, tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and escaping custody. Additionally, he is facing unrelated criminal charges in St. Louis County and St. Charles County.

Violent Crime Unit Supervisor Adam Field, Chief Trial Attorney Marvin O. Teer, and Assistant Circuit Attorney John Edwards prosecuted the case.

“Today’s sentencing demonstrates that we will aggressively prosecute defendants with a history of committing crimes of violence. Lance Campbell’s crimes disrupted the lives of his victims and put the safety of our community at risk,” said St. Louis Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore.

Cambell’s case number is 2322-CR02288-01.
